About Me

"If you want to change the whole world go HOME and LOVE your FAMILY."

-Mother Teresa of Calcutta

The moment I read this quote, I knew I had to engrain it into my memory bank. More than that though, I needed to have it become part of my life story. Though I've certainly lived in more than one house throughout my life, this community has always been my home. In each season, I've found the South Bend area to be my own place of refuge- blessing me with rich friendships, a strong sense of who I am, and great pride in where I come from. Now, as I watch my children flourish under the same support and love, I am excited to help other families plant and extend their roots here, too.

As a native of the Mishawaka area, I was excited to bring my elementary education degree from Purdue University back to my hometown and teach at Beiger Elementary. Little did I know just how much this experience would equip me with important tools that have become the backbone of my success as a realtor today. I learned quickly that to create an effective roadmap for each child and his family, it was imperative that I asked the right questions, understood their collective needs, and anticipated obstacles. Only then could I craft a plan of attack with enthusiasm and attention to detail for each student's progress.

Upon having my oldest child, I began crafting on a part-time basis, which scratched a life-long itch I have always had to express my creativity. I was honored to be published in both local and national magazines, and my work was also featured on the Home Shopping Network (HSN), and the Disney Family blog. My children, who are always up for anything, often join me on WSBT News for seasonal segments that keep us looking for new ideas to bring families together around craft activities. Although I wouldn't have thought much about it previously, even this area of my skill set has proven to be a helpful tool for my clients today. The ability to see what is and picture what could be, the re-arranging of elements to create something inviting and practical, and the out-of-the-box thought processes have given the families I work with more options and fresh eyes.

My husband, Marcel, and I have two children, Marcel Jr. and Lilly. Every day, these two remind us both of the treasure of home- a sacred place where ordinary moments become cherished memories and where laughter, family meals, and deep conversation are shared at the kitchen table. Simply put, these three have made my house into a home where my soul is fed. And the love we share is my ultimate WHY.

My greatest professional desire is two-fold, but simple. First, I want to help my clients appreciate the beauty of this community, which goes even deeper than the charm of what can be seen with the eye. Secondly, I want to aid them in identifying and securing not just a house, but their home- their refuge, a place where they can love their family and help change the whole world. And when seasons shift and their needs change, it's about helping them pick up that anchor and lower it safely in its next location.
